Men’s Premier Soccer Matches of DPRK Championships Start

Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) — Men’s premier soccer matches of DPRK Championships started on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the DPRK.
More than 10 men’s ace soccer teams in the country are playing in the contest, divided into two groups. Their standings will be decided by their total scores in the two rounds of their group league matches.
There were first day soccer matches of the first round between the April 25 and Pyongyang teams and between the Hwaebul and Mangyongbong teams at Kim Il Sung Stadium on Thursday.
The stadium was packed with spectators including service personnel, people, youth and students in the city.
Among the audience were Choe Ryong Hae, Jang Jong Nam, Kim Won Hong, Kim Yang Gon, Choe Pu Il, officials of party, armed forces and power organs and those in the fields of sports and education.
In the matches the April 25 team beat the Pyongyang team 2:0 and Hwaebul team tied the Mangyongbong team 1:1.
The matches will go on.

Kim Jong Un Watches Soccer Match with Pyongyangites

Pyongyang, August 14 (KCNA) — A men’s soccer match between the Ryongaksan Team and the Pothonggang Team comprising ace players of the country took place in Kim Il Sung Stadium on Wednesday, the eve of the 68th anniversary of Korea’s liberation.
Supreme leader Kim Jong Un appeared in the tribune of honor.
Among the spectators were Pak Pong Ju, Choe Ryong Hae, Jang Song Thaek, Jang Jong Nam, Kim Kyong Hui, Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok, Kang Sok Ju, Kim Won Hong, Kim Yang Gon, Kim Yong Il, Kim Phyong Hae, Kwak Pom Gi, Mun Kyong Dok, Ro Tu Chol, Choe Pu Il and Jo Yon Jun, members of the State Physical Culture and Sports Guidance Commission, leading officials of the support organizations for various sports events, officials of the party, armed forces and power organs, working people’s organizations, the Cabinet, ministries and national institutions, those in the sports field, sportspersons, working people from all walks of life and school youth and children in the city.
The match started with the kick-off of the Pothonggang Team.
The Ryongaksan Team made attempts to score goals through flank attack and short passes which helped a forward make strong kick 16 m from goal mouth, scoring the first goal at around 33rd minute of the first half.
When the Pothonggang Team had a chance of penalty kick, its forward scored a goal through his skillful kick at around 36th minute of the first half. As a result, the first half ended 1:1.
A back of the Ryongaksan Team made a smart heading, scoring a goal at around 11th minute of the second half.
The Ryongaksan Team beat its rival 2:1 in the match.
Marshal Kim Jong Un expressed great satisfaction over the nice match and congratulated the players on their success.

ULTIMA GIORNATA EAFF U18

L’obiettivo del terzo posto è raggiunto: grazie ad un perentorio 4-1 contro Guam la rappresentativa della RPD Corea centra il terzo posto al torneo EAFF U18. Le reti sono state messe a segno da Hong Jang-Song (doppietta), Shin Son-Bon e Ko Sun-Do.
Il torneo è vinto da Hong Kong, che nell’ultima giornata supera Taipei con il risultato di 2-1, mentre Macao centra la prima vittoria contro la malcapitata selezione delle Isole Marianne Settentrionali, con il risultato di 4-0.

Commento:
Nella sostanza il risultato finale ha rispecchiato quelli che sono i valori assoluti messi in campo: le squadre di Hong Kong e Taipei Cinesi infatti rappresentano il meglio delle squadre giovanili delle formazioni professionistiche dei rispettivi campionati; la selezione dei Zainichi Chongryon che ha rappresentato la RPDC è una selezione scolastica, di alcuni istituti; Guam, Macao e Isole Marianne Settentrionali rappresentano un movimento semi-amatoriale, con Guam, se non altro, galvanizzata dal ruolo di paese ospitante.
Logico quindi il risultato finale.

Questa è stata la prima edizione dell’EAFF U18. Precedentemente l’EAFF aveva organizzato solo manifestazioni U-14 e U-15. Questo l’albo d’oro:
