La delegazione di Zainichi della KSAJ è stata ospitata a Pyongyang.
I Zainichi, provenienti dalle scuole coreane di Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka e Kobe, erano presenti con due formazioni, l’under-19 e l’under-16, oltre ai tre professionisti Min Chol-Son (Shillong Lajong), Lee Yon-Jick (Tokushima Vortis) e Hwang Song-Su (Thespakusatsu Gunma).
Si sono giocate tre gare:
RPDC U19 – KSAJ U19 4-0 (nella KSAJ giocavano anche i tre professionisti)
RPDC U16 – KSAJ U16 3-0
RPDC U16 – KSAJ U16 B 2-1

Premier Soccer League Matches Getting Heated in DPRK
Pyongyang, July 2 (KCNA) — The second round of the premier soccer league matches (men and women) is going on in the DPRK, as part of the Sports Contest for Pochonbo Torch Prize.
Many teams are taking part in the second round, divided into A and B groups.
According to an official concerned of the DPRK Football Association, in the first round of men’s premier soccer league matches the Wolmido Team proved successful though most of its players were young.
In the second round, every team is giving fullest play to their tactics and capability while young players are playing a very active part.
Kim Jae Ho, a deputy head of the Wolmido Football Team, told KCNA:
Every player of my team showed good dribbling technique and physical capability. Especially, it created many scoring chances by making a fast counterattack through two- and three-man pass. As a result, my team proved successful in the first round.
I hope that young players of my team would show smart skills in the second round, too.
The results of the second round of men’s premier until June 28 show that the Sobaeksu team is taking the lead in A group and Amnokgang and Myohyangsan teams and the team of the Ministry of Light Industry are leaving others behind in B group.
Home-made Football Popular among DPRK People
Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) — “Choeusu (ace)”-trademarked football, made in the DPRK, is gaining popularity among local sports persons and fans.
This football is produced at a unit under the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports.
In this regard KCNA had an interview with Choe Jong Chun, chief of the football production unit.
Choe said:
The trademark “Choeusu” reflects our hope that the users of our products will become best players.
At present the demand for athletic apparatuses is growing among the people with strong enthusiasm for sports. To meet this demand, my unit has turned out quality footballs and other sports goods for juvenile sports schools across the country.
The football 450g in weight, produced at my unit, won a high appreciation from experts and users.
Ri Chol Hak, a student of the Sosong District Juvenile Sports School in Pyongyang, told KCNA: I have used “Choeusu”-trademarked football since March, and it is as good as imported one in quality. I will get intent on training to become a best footballer as demanded by the trademark.
The unit also produces volleyballs and uniforms and nets for various ball games.
