Match for Examining Men’s Football of National Sports Team Held

Pyongyang, August 14 (KCNA) — A match for examining the men’s football of the National Sports Team which will take part in the 17th Asian Games was held at the Kim Il Sung Stadium on Wednesday.
The National Sports Team played the match with the Kigwancha Team.
It trounced its rival 3:0.
Among the spectators were Hwang Pyong So, Choe Ryong Hae, Kim Yong Hun, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, and other officials concerned and working people, school youth and children and football fans here.

National University Students Sports Contest Opens

Hamhung, August 11 (KCNA) — A national university students sports contest for September 5 Prize opened with due ceremony in Hamhung, South Hamgyong Province on Monday.
It will bring together excellent players selected from universities and colleges throughout the country. They will compete in the defence sports, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis and other sports events.
Present at the opening ceremony were Thae Jong Su, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials concerned, and university and college students in the province.
Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the youth league, made an opening address.

Soccer Tournament for Torch Cup Begins

Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) — A soccer tournament for torch cup began on the occasion of the Youth Day. It will last till August 28.
It brought together 13 men’s soccer teams.
They are divided into two groups to play group league matches.
There were matches between the Ryongaksan Team and the Kwanmobong Team, between the Wolmido Team and the Amnokgang Team and between the Team of the Ministry of Light Industry and the Hwaebul Team at Kim Il Sung Stadium on Sunday.
In the first-day matches, the Ryongaksan Team beat the Kwanmobong Team 3:2, the Hwaebul Team trounced the Team of the Ministry of Light Industry 3:0 and the Wolmido Team and the Amnokgang Team drew 1:1.
Matches go on.

FIFA High Level Coaching Course Given in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) — The FIFA high level coaching course was given in the DPRK from August 5 to 9 with the attendance of football coaches from different local sports teams.
It was held, divided into theoretical and practical sections.
It dealt with several subjects such as the analysis of the Asian football teams participated in the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup, physical fitness of top players, tactics of offence and defense, collective and stonewall defense.
The course was guided by Lim Kim Chon, a Malaysian FIFA coach.
Ri Yong Jin, a coach of the Sports Team of the Ministry of Light Industry, told KCNA that he had learnt a lot from the course, adding that a lecture on special training methods gave him a deep impression.

Vaduz holt sich beim FC Aarau den ersten Punkt

Dank einem Tor des eingewechselten Schürpf (80.) zum 1:1 kann der FC Vaduz auswärts den ersten Punktgewinn feiern. Aufgrund der Chancen gegen Ende der Partie wäre sogar ein Sieg dringelegen. Viel Schwung brachten die Einwechselspieler Schürpf und Pak.

Fussball. – Die erste Halbzeit gehörte dem FC Aarau mit drei gefährlichen Torchancen. Eine davon verwertete Senger in der 23. Minute zum zu dieser Zeit verdienten 1:0. Vaduz brauchte lange um ins Spiel zu finden. Vor allem die eingewechselten Spieler in der zweiten Halbzeit (Schürpf, Pak), welche die schwachen Untersee und Cecchini verdrängten, sorgten für viel Schwung. In der 80. Minute konnte Schürpf eine der guten Chancen verwerten. Zuvor köpfte Muntwiler den Ball an den Pfosten, von wo er zu Sutter gelange. Dieser wurde gefoult, was eigentlich Penalty hätte sein müssen. Vaduz dominierte am Schluss nach Belieben und hat den Punkt sicher nicht gestohlen. Vor allem weil in der Nachspielzeit Lang in die Mitte passte wo Sutter alles richtig machte. Sein Schuss wurde von Burki aber auf der Linie weggekratzt. (kop)

DPRK Women Defeats Finnish Rivals by 2:1

Pyongyang, August 8 (KCNA) — Football fans of the DPRK are very pleased by the news that the DPRK defeated Finland by 2:1 in the first league match of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2014.
Yun Chol Nam, a workshop head of the Pyongyang Electric Cable Factory 326, said:
The DPRK girls played a good game in the first match, and it pleases all employees of my workshop.
Han Yong Suk, a Pyongyang citizen, said:
It is praiseworthy that the DPRK girls won the first victory in the U-20 women’s world cup.
Eight years ago, the DPRK girls took the title in the U-20 Women’s World Cup 2006, thus promoting the country to the first Asian winner of the World Cup. I hope that the DPRK team would prove successful in the matches.
The DPRK team includes 14 players, who played an active role in the U-17 Women’s World Cup 2012.
The FIFA website selected Ri Un Sim as one of best players in the current world cup for scoring 8 goals in the six matches of the U-17 Women’s World Cup 2012.

FC Korea nel ConIFA?

Giunge notizia che l’FC Korea rappresenterà i coreani in Giappone (i Zainichi) presso il ConIFA, la Confederation of Independent Football Associations, la più accreditata organizzazione calcistica internazionale per le nazioni non riconosciute.
Una notizia, seppur non ancora ufficiale, che ci coglie un po di sorpresa per diversi motivi:
1-i coreani in Giappone non sono una nazione, ma un’etnia
2-i coreani in Giappone sono già rappresentati ufficialmente da ben due nazionali (nord e sud Corea), visto che sono prevalentemente cittadini coreani
3-i coreani in Giappone hanno già una squadra che gioca nel campioanto della prefettura di Kanto, l’FC Korea
4-le squadre juniores dei coreani in Giappone hanno già rappresentato la RPD Corea in recenti manifestazioni internazionali, come l’EAFF Cup under-18.

Nonostante la nostra contrarietà, seguiremo comunque con il consueto trasporto eventuali partecipazioni dell’FC Korea a manifestazioni ConIFA.
