Pyongyang, May 5 (KCNA) — The second round of premier football matches for Mangyongdae Prize Sports Games began with the attendance of 12 male teams and 11 female teams.
According to an official concerned, the second round will be held on a knock-out basis after group league matches.
Men’s football matches between Rimyongsu and Myohyangsan teams and between Sonbong and Ministry of Light Industry teams ended in a draw on May 2. And male footballers of Sobaeksu, Kigwancha and April 25 teams defeated their rivals in the matches on May 3 and 4, securing three points separately.
A women’s football match between Sobaeksu and Naegohyang teams drew 1:1 while the Kalmaegi Team edged out the Wolmido Team by 3:2.
The second round will continue until May 22. –
