AFC Coaching Course in DPRK

Pyongyang, June 10 (KCNA) — The AFC (Asian Football Confederation) “B” license award coaching course goes on in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea from May 28 to June 15.
Attending the course, divided into theoretical and practical sections, are football coaches of sports teams who won a “C” license award as well as instructors from juvenile sports schools.
In the theoretic aspect it deals with the principles of training and coaching, coach’s role and guidance ability, playing tactics, morals and rules, footballers’ physical ability and condition, etc.
In practice it focuses on the pass, mid- and long-distance pass, pressing defense, goal keeper field and warming-up exercises, defense against side attack, collective defense and so on.
Ardeshir Pournemat, an AFC instructor and coach from Iran, officiates at the course.
