Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) — Premier league soccer matches will be played in the DPRK this year, too.

Jang Sok Jin, 54, who is one of the organizers of the matches, told KCNA:

Six rounds of the matches will be held between February and March, March and April, May and June, June and July, and August and September and in October.

The matches, annual events since 2010, will bring together top-notch men and women's football teams in the country.

Men and women's footballers of the April 25 Sports Team and the Mangyongbong Sports Team and men footballers of the Rimyongsu and Sobaeksu teams proved successful in matches last year.

Those matches produced a lot of promising young footballers with distinguished technique.

These matches offer a good occasion of raising the nation's level of football technique.
