Pyongyang, May 20 (KCNA) — The premier soccer league matches of the Sports Contest for Pochonbo Torch Prize started here on Monday.
The league matches which will run through mid June brought together more than ten men and women’s football teams including the April 25 Sports Team, the Rimyongsu Sports Team, the Sonbong Sports Team, the Amnokgang Sports Team, the Sports Team of the Ministry of Light Industry and the Wolmido Sports Team. They will play first and second rounds of league matches to decide final standings through semi-finals and finals.
Today witnessed men’s football matches between the Ryongaksan Sports Team and the Sonbong Sports Team (2:0), the Kigwancha Sports Team and the Pyongyang Sports Team (1:0), the April 25 Sports Team and the Sobaeksu Sports Team (1:1), the Wolmido Sports Team and the Amnokgang Sports Team (3:3) at Kim Il Sung Stadium.
