yongyang, June 27 (KCNA) — The sports contest for Pochonbo Torch Prize closed with due ceremony in Wonsan, Kangwon Province on Sunday. It was opened on June 3 to mark the 74th anniversary of the victorious battle in Pochonbo.
Men and women of the April 25 Sports Team placed first in soccer (premier match) and basketball and volleyball games while men of the April 25 Sports Team and women of the Amnokgang Sports Team in table tennis (premier match).
Sports Contest for Songun Torch Prize Closes in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 30 (KCNA) — The Sports Contest for Songun Torch Prize was closed in the DPRK.
North Phyongan Province came first in total standing by winning in men's soccer, women's basketball, men's table-tennis, women's boxing and women's marathon and other events.
South Phyongan Province placed first in women's football and women's volleyball, North Hamgyong Province in men's basketball, women's table-tennis and men's and women's track and field and South Hwanghae Province in men's marathon.
Its closing ceremony took place in Chongjin, North Hamgyong Province Thursday.
